Emaju Development Foundation (EDF) is a community-based organization located in Serere District, Kasilo County, Kadungulu Sub-County, Eastern Uganda.
EDF is a non-profit, non-denominational, non-political and non-sectarian organization formed in June 2024. We were founded with an aim of empowering the community in the fight against poverty, reviving positive cultural values, addressing unemployment, and spreading health information.
To empower communities by creating equal opportunities for growth, self-sufficiency, and sustainable development for all.
To transform communities by fostering access to essential resources, promoting skill development, and creating pathways to sustainable livelihoods and growth.

EDF strategically implements activities under 15 thematic areas in line with policies of the Republic of Uganda, covering both emergency and long-term development programs.
Creating awareness and advocacy in communities for health services, HIV/AIDS training through community meetings and radio talk shows.
Empowering women and youth through agri-business development and financial inclusion for economic independence.
Promoting human rights awareness, defending children's rights to education, health, food, and quality welfare.
Providing information to teachers, parents and children on the benefits of education through career guidance and community meetings.
Strengthening livelihoods by diversifying income-generating activities, empowering individuals to engage in small-scale businesses.
Equipping youth and women with practical, marketable skills in carpentry, tailoring, IT, and renewable energy technology.
Fostering active participation in democratic processes through civic education, leadership training, and advocacy.
